World Handwashing Day was observed by Rotary Club of Digboi at the Anganwadi Centre, Margherita, on 15th October 2025. The secretary of RC Digboi, Rtn. Dr. Dipen Borthakur addressed the gathering and demonstrated the various steps of proper handwashing to promote hand hygiene. A total of 32 lactating mothers and 5 ASHA workers participated in the programme. Dr. Borthakur emphasized the importance of proper handwashing practices, particularly for mothers before feeding their children, to prevent infections and ensure better health for both mother and child.
