Observance of Independence Day &Felicitation Prog

The 79th Independence Day was observed by Rotary club of Digboi on 15th August, 2025. The secretary delivered the introductory speech and requested the President for flag hoisting. The National flag was hoisted by President followed by National anthem. He also addressed the gathering. Rtn Urmi Sharma Goswami delivered a talk on the Significance of Independence Day. A Felicitation Program was also held to distribute the certificates of appreciation for successful completion of one month Internship Program on Organic Farming. Rotarylet Niyor and winner of National beauty contest (kids), Dibyanshi Agarwal were also felicitated in the assembly.

Rongali Bihu Celebration

On 19th April, 2026 Rotary Club of Digboi celebrated Rongali bihu at its Club premises. The program was started with lighting of Diyas in front of the portrait of late Zubeen Garg. Rotarylet Kuvika Baruah Performed solo bihu dance on the occasion. The Birina Kahuwa Husori group Performed bihu dance ( Husori) and the joyfull participation of the members of Rotary Club of Digboi made the occasion more lively and colourful.

Observance of 77th.Republic Day

Rotary Club of Digboi observed the 77th.Republic Day at club premises with the active participation of members & guests. The programme was smoothly conducted by Secretary Rtn. Dr. Dipen Borthakur. The National Flag was unfurled by President Rtn. Santanu Roy, followed by a warm welcome address by the President. On this occasion Rtn. Urmi Sarma Goswami (PE) & Rtn. Dr. Nirza Saikia (IPP) addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of the day & Rotarys commitment for Service Above Self. The programme was concluded with food distribution among the gathering.
